Where do I begin? I'm crying as I write this and getting my keyboard wet. To hear this news was truly a shock to me. Dorothy was my long loss big Sister, until 2008 when Delores daughter,Jennifer found us in Massachusetts. My family and myself went to visit Dorothy's family. As you can imagine it was beautiful heart felt visit. We were told because of our story that we should go on to the Oprah Winfrey show, but we are both very private people and did not want that. We both wanted to get to know each other better, but because of distance apart, family responsibilities as we both were taking care of ill family members and my work obligations it was not possible. However when talked on the phone she always lifted me up and made me realize how much in my life I missed without my big sister. I'm 68 now and as long as I live will Never forget her.To Dorothy's Kids, your Uncle Dan is just a phone call away .My heart felt sorry is being sent your way.May God embrace an Angel by his side.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Dottie. She’s been a dear friend, to our family, for over 40 years! She was like a sister, to my mom and I’ll always remember their infamous Scrabble games, together. Their playful banter, back and forth, was like a tv sitcom, quite entertaining to watch. She also made the best Irish soda bread, for St. Patrick’s Day. Dottie loved her children more than anything and was so proud of their accomplishments. My thoughts are with Dottie’s children and family, during this difficult time. Sending all of you strength, love and prayers.
