Obituary of Robert James Murray

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robert James Murray passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, at age 73. Bob was stepfather to
Jaimie and Gregory (Dana), and Pop-Pop to Madeline and Andrew. He is survived by his siblings, Carol
Murray Hurlbrink (Jerry), Michael (Jane), Patricia Finch, Maureen Cofrin, Kathleen Murray, and beloved
in-laws, Cathleen Murray and the Twigg Family. He was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews:
Michael Gubitosa (Tracy), Kevin Murray (Tori), Patrick Murray (Erin), Megan Murray, Mandy Finch, Jessie
Bell (Doug), Mathew Cofrin (Kat), Nathaniel Kiefer (Hanna), and Christopher Kiefer. He had many great
nieces and nephews.
Bob was an avid skier and enjoyed nothing better than spending his winter days getting in as many runs
as he could. His appreciation of the outdoors led him to develop a love for photography. His keen eye
captured many memorable experiences. He was also a music lover who attended Bradstock faithfully.
He spent much of his life on the Great South Bay as a clammer, and one-time president of the Baymen’s
Association. He retired from UPS where he was a driver for many years, but he never stopped working
hard.
Bob's spirit, heart, storytelling, and loyalty will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest peacefully in
heaven with his wife, Donna, and his parents, Cornelius and Patricia.

A service of remembrance will be taking place at a later date to be anounced.
