Obituary of Rosemarie Jackson
Rosemarie (Mollica) Jackson, of Ronkonkoma, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 5, 1946, in Queens, NY to Bartolo and Mary (Porcelli) Mollica. Rosemarie was raised in Queens until her family moved to Ronkonkoma in 1957.
Rosemarie shared a remarkable life with her beloved husband, Harry. The two met at Lake Ronkonkoma in July 1961, becoming high school sweethearts. They were married on January 24th, 1965 and built a beautiful family together in Ronkonkoma. Rosemarie was passionate about her community and preserving its history, especially sharing great pride in their alma mater, Sachem High School. She and Harry organized Sachem alumni get-togethers even beyond their 50th reunion and kept in touch with countless classmates. Rosemarie was incredibly proud of her own children and grandchildren who became Sachem alumni as well.
In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Rosemarie is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Buddy), Sandra (Scott), and Gail; grandchildren, Brandon (Elizabeth), Ryan (Katie), Nicholas, and Sarah (her fiancé, Nicholas); their great grandchildren, Julianna and Grace; her sisters, Monica (Warren) and Joyce; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her legacy of love and the most incredible Sunday dinners live on to comfort her loved ones.
