Rose Mary Clark passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 94. She was under the care of East End Hospice for six days in her daughter’s home. She was born on August 17, 1930, in Flushing Hospital, Queens, NY to Joseph and Mary (Mae) Gallo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence David Clark, to whom she was married for 64 years, and her two sisters, Anne Evans and Joanie Pistonetti.
Rose was awarded an academic program scholarship to Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn, NY. She made the decision to leave early and took a job with the telephone company until she married and began a family. She was an avid reader, gardener, painter, and seamstress, but it was her husband and four daughters who were the center of her life.
She is survived by her four daughters, Eileen Clark; Evelyn Bender (Jeff); Linda Levering (Phil); Laura Landon (Roy); grandchildren Melinda Grammenos (Gus); Daniel Allingham (Christine); Amanda Archibald (Jamie); Kellie Malino (Daniel); Jeffery Bender (Allegra); Melissa Mulcahy (Brian); Julie Mulcahy (Ray); great-grandchildren Juliana Archibald (Dylan); Emily Voss; Kaleb Archibald; Leo Malino; Loren Malino; Oliver Grammenos; and one great-great grandson, Wilder Lehr.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9, with a prayer service at 3 pm, on Sunday, June 15th at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Rd. Medford, NY 11763. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th at 10 am at St. Slyvester’s Roman Catholic Church at 68 Ohio Ave. Medford, NY 11763. Interment will follow the Mass at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd. Calverton, NY 11933.
