Cheryl Taormina, beloved Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, treasured friend, and resident of Shoreham NY, passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born on April 3rd, 1957 to Edmund and Birgit Condzella.
Cheryl was the Owner/Director of Riverhead Country Day School, dedicating her career to nurturing and educating children.
Beyond her professional life, Cheryl was a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. Rev. Cheryl was the administrator for New York Ministry Network’s District School of Ministry Campuses in Medford and Valley Stream NY. Cheryl led mission trips to South Africa, Haiti, and Scotland and directed children ministries in various churches.
Cheryl loved all types of nature, from planting flowers and vegetables, enjoying the beach, or watching the birds and butterflies in her backyard. When observing nature, her favorite saying was “How can anyone say there is no God.”
Cheryl Taormina is survived by her immediate family, which includes her loving spouse, Michael; their children, David and Christopher, and their spouses; and her little sister, Bridget. Cheryl was a loving grandma to Isabella and Caterina. Cheryl is also survived by her dear sisters Diana and Susan, and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Friday, Decmeber 5, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral Mass 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Axis Church in Medford, NY. Interment in Yaphank Cemetery
