Kathryn Ann Siemen Brown Hunsbedt
Born in Bayshore, NY, October 22, 1946 to parents, Hugo Siemen and Doris Mae Smith Siemen. In 1964 became a young mother to her late son Gary Brown. A marriage to Lynn Brown ended in divorce. A second marriage to Harry Hunsbedt left her a widow. She is survived by her daughters, Lisamarie Halliday, Theresa Caputo, Crystal Kavanagh and husband Brian, Katrina Denning and husband Jack. She was a loving grandmother to her many grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha and Amanda Brown; the late Robert Bailey; Kimberly, Matthew and Gregory Halliday; Jonathan and Jason Caputo; Brian Jr, John and Christopher Kavanagh; Pax Denning. Great grandchildren, Morrigan, Tommy, Ben, and Layla, whom she had a very special bond with, and many more great grandchildren she loved from a distance. Also survived by her older brother; Harry Siemen of GA and Edward Siemen of Utah as well as many nieces and newphews. Her sister, Reina (Ruth) Lang had passed in 1999.
She was a stay at home mom for many years with her older children, a Sunday school teacher at the United Methodist Church, and mainly worked in electronics and retail, earning an associates degree later in life, which she was very proud of.
Over the years, Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking homemade meals, making clothes and costumes for her children , volunteering at the science center, taking care of all kinds of animals, she enjoyed many child hood memories at Montauk Point, and made sure to spend time there over the years with her children and grand children. She worked very hard most of her life at Arrow Electronics and Lowes Home Improvement Store.
