Francis Thomas Dungate, 77 of Medford, NY. Died Friday, February 6, 2026 in East Patchogue, NY.  Francis was born July 27, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Francis James Dungate and Margaret Dungate. Predeceased by 1 Daughter, Kim Cestaro. Survived by his Beloved Wife, Florence Dungate. Also survived by his Loving Children, Keith McInnes(Leora), Shaun McInnes(Mairead), Kristin Wengert and Robert McInnes. Francis is aslo survived by his Dear Siblings, Nancy McCarrick, James Dungate, Peggy Striano, Katherine Yowell, Maureen Covell and Timothy Dungate. Francis is also survived by his Cherished Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren whom he adored spending time with along with his wife Florence Dungate. 

Francis drove a Taxi Cab in order to pay his way through college. He earned his Masters Degree in Health and Science and taught these subjects at the Holy Family School for 15 Years.

Known as being a compassionate man, Francis would help friends and family in any way he could by donating cars, clothing or money. Francis loved talking to people and listening to their life stories to learn their history. Being the family historian, Francis loved being the family photographer as well to capture memories that would live on in their family. 

Francis and his wife Florence shared a compassion for people as well as an undeniable love for animals.
