Mr. James J. Byrne, age 74 , of Coram, NY died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson, NY. Mr. Byrne was a retired patrolman with the NYPD in the Central Park Precinct. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the son of the late James and Theresa Byrne. He was the husband of the late Veronica Byrne(Messina). James is survived by his two daughters Theresa Cannone and Regina Byrne. His son Jimmy Byrne. His son-in-law Anthony Cannone and his grandchildren AJ, Michael and Danielle. Arrangements are being handled by McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY. Visitation will be on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home. A religious service will be on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, NY.
