Marie Virginia Devita, 76, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015. She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Stanley Devita, her daughter, Maureen Tufano and husband John, her two grandchildren, Alyssa and Joseph; who were her pride and joy; her brother, Bill Colton, her nieces, nephews and many close friends. Marie was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Westphal. Marie was born in Brooklyn, New York and resided in Medford from the time she was 16 till present. She was a school bus driver on Long Island for twenty five years. She has many happy memories with the children she drove to school and home. She had an infectious laugh and everyone loved to be around her. She was a caring and wonderful person. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family and friends; she will be missed by all. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm at McManus Lorey Funeral home at 2084 Horseblock Rd, Medford, N.Y. Entombment at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12:30 pm. Memorial contributions are welcome and should be mailed to the Cancer Society, payable to the American Cancer Society at 75 Davids Drive, Hauppauge, N.Y 11788.
