Rosemary E. Morellino Eisenberg, 71 of Medford, New York, beloved wife for 28 years of Robert Eisenberg, died on Friday, February 13, 2009 surrounded by her family. A lifelong Long Island resident, she was the daughter of Victor and Rose Digilio. At the age of 35, she was pre-deceased by her first husband, Theodore Morellino, the father of her four daughters, who died of heart disease. At that time, Rosemary started working as a free lance court stenographer. Over the 39 years and until her final days, she built a successful business, having earned the reputation as one of the most sought after court reporters in Suffolk County, known for her professionalism and dependability. As a semi-professional baker and faithful parishioner of St. Sylvester Church in Medford, NY, she baked 125 pumpkin breads every year to be distributed to parish families on Thanksgiving. Her Medford home was always open to friends and family to stop by, where all would sit for an impromptu hot meal and a plate of freshly baked cookies. Rosemary also served on the Board of The Quinn Family Foundation. Besides her loving husband, Robert, she leaves her children, Linda Morellino and her partner, Steve Cotugno from White Plains, NY; Regina Valdes-Rodriguez and her husband Robert of New York City, NY; Alicia Proano and her husband, Richard from Medford, NY; Carla Hollander and her husband, William from East Patchogue, NY; three step children, Harvey, Gary and Diana; her brother, James (Duke) Digilio and his wife, Joan from Palm Coast, Florida; her brother, Victor Digilio and his wife, Pat from Lakeland, Florida; her sister, Virginia Farrelly and her husband, James from Brookhaven, NY, and 10 grandchildren. Viewing services will be held at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home in Medford, New York (631) 732--1112 during the hours of 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Sylvester RC Church, Medford, NY on Tuesday, February 17 at 9:45 AM. Donations can be sent to the St. Sylvester RC Church Renovation Fund (631) 475-4506.
