Mr. Richard J. Valente (Dick), age 83 , of Mint Hill, NC died Thursday,November 8, 2012 at Lake Park Nursing and Rehab in North Carolina. Mr. Valente was a veteran of the US Army. He was the son of the late Philip and Anne Valente. He was pre-deceased by his wife Rose Valente He was survived by: His wife of 20 years Marie Garafano Five Daughters: Mrs. Maria Pettis and her husband Mike Ms. Angela Villegas Mrs. Renee Couchell and her husband John Mrs. Jeannine Klos and her husband Dave Mrs. Jodi Stokes and her husband Jeremy Two Sons: Mr. Ricky Valente and his wife Rosemary Mr. Stephen Valente and his wife Sandi Grandchildren: Stephen, Rosa, Dylan, Kevin, Cole, Michael, Nicole, Justin, Billy, Andrew, Ginamarie, Victoria, Kyle, Mondriana, Gianna and Kevin. Arrangements are being handled by McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY Funeral service will be at St. Sylvester R.C. Church at 9:15 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Visitation at 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2012. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
