The History of The McManus-Lorey Funeral Home

McManus-Lorey Funeral Home was established in 1966 by owner and funeral director James B. McManus.

The funeral home is centrally located on Long Island, one block north of the Long Island Expressway (I-495) between old Farmingville and the rapidly growing town of Medford.

In addition to the three large viewing chapels, McManus-Lorey also offers an arrangement office and Victorian decorated receiving area and lobby as well as a children's lounge.

The large parking area surrounds a park-like setting of trees and flowers.

Mr. McManus believed in the tradition of a family owned funeral home and was dedicated to family, personalization and service.  The present owners, Charles Lorey and Dorothy Pacimeo- Comodore continue the tradition.

Today, in our ever-changing profession, McManus-Lorey Funeral Home is proud to continue its tradition of "personal family service."

We believe funeral service is not only a profession, but a ministry, dedicated to caring of community, people and families.

2023 marks 50 years of funeral service to our community.

McManus-Lorey Funeral Home continues to provide services that include at-home arrangements, traditional funerals, direct burial and cremation, prearrangement and pre-paid funeral counseling.

We have carefully assembled a bereavement library and an exclusive after-care program, which has been well received by the community.
