Mary Ann Theresa Lopez "Mimi", born September 1, 1936 passed away on October 19, 2022 in Stony Brook, NY.  She was predeceased by her son, Shawn Gerard Lopez. her twin Brother Gerard Nolan Jr. and her brother Peter Nolan and parents Dorothy Nolan and Gerard Nolan. She is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Mary Lopez and Laura Lopez and her three grandsons, Michael Philip Sposato, Austin Charles Sposato and Lee Lopez, her brothers Stephen Nolan, David Nolan, Kevin Nolan, Paul Nolan and her sisters Dorothy McKeown and Ellen Pedisich, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.  Mimi was born in Port Jefferson, New York and grew up in Medford and was the oldest of 10. Mimi graduated from Seton Hall High, Patchogue, NY in 1957.  Mimi was a snare drum player in the Medford All Girls Drum and Bugle Corps and also a pitcher on an All Girls Baseball Team in Medford, NY.  She went on to attend Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing in Jamaica, NY and graduated in 1957. She married in 1958 and landed her first job as Registered Nurse at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. Mimi later became the school nurse at Andrew Muller Primary School in Miller Place, NY, where she retired in 1997.  She was also a travel agent during summer break and retirement.  Mimi's favorite pastime was to be with her family.  Her many hobbies included listening to music, cooking and entertaining, reading, gardening, walking, hiking, tennis, cycling, traveling and going to the beach. Mimi was known for her big smile and laughter, her bright blue eyes, her sense of humor, giving nature and loving heart.  She is intensely loved by family and friends. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on April 15, 2023, 10:00 AM at the Infant Jesus Church R.C. Church 110 Myrtle Ave, Port Jefferson, NY 11777.  A private committal will take place following the mass.
