WHITESTONE, NY-Virginia Lombardi, 87, passed away on September 12, 2023. A
loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She was born on January 3, 1936 in Brooklyn,
NY, the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Johnson) Lombardi. She was a
lifelong resident of Whitestone, NY. Virginia retired from Skudder/Kemper
investments in Manhattan and volunteered at St. Francis Hospital. She enjoyed
bingo, going to casinos and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Florence (James)
Turner and by her nephews William Turner, Michael Turner and Anthony
Lombardi.
Virginia is survived by her siblings Alfred (Jean) Lombardi, Ann Marie Urban and
Edward (Antoinette) Lombardi; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great
nephews and extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 6 pm to 9 pm at
McManus Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Rd., Medford, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, September
16, 2023 at the Church of the Resurrection, 50 Granny Road, Farmingville, NY.
Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY.
