Obituary of Niel M. Marturiello

Niel M. Marturiello, age 75, of Medford died Friday, September 15, 2023. Niel was born September 13, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY.

Niel served in the US Army during the Vietnam war from 1969 to 1975.  Niel was considered by many to be the "Mayor of Medford".  Niel was a Honorary Chief and Past Commissioner with the Medford Fire Department.  Niel was a Commander with both the VFW and American Legion.  Niel also served time with the Medford Chamber of Commerce where he served in the past as president.

He is survived by his beloved wife Anne Marturiello.  Loving father of Michael Marturiello, David West and Jerry West.  Dear brother of Carmelina Marturiello; Cherished grandfather of Julianna and Michael.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Thursday, September 21, 2023  from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 -9:00 PM at Medford Fire Department, 171 Oregon Avenue, Medford.  Firematic Service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 8:00 PM at the Firehouse.  VFW and American Legion Services will also be held on Thursday Evening at the Medford Fire House.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Medford Fire Department, 171 Oregon Avenue, Medford, NY.  Burial with honors will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Friday, September 22, 2023.
