He was born in Astoria, NY on May 17, 1941 to the adoring parents, William Charles Schaefer, Sr. and Nora Schaefer (nee Stevens). Beloved Husband of Doris Anne Schaefer (nee Graham). Loving Father of Lisa Niclas, Denise (Dave) DeLise, Kathleen Misiano, Colleen Ricca and Billy (Robin) Schaefer. Dear Brother of Thomas Schaefer. Cherished Grandfather of Amanda Niclas, Alyssa Misiano, Kayla Misiano, Julianna Ricca, Jason Ricca and Justin Ricca. There will be a Visitation for William on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford, NY 11763. A Funeral Service will be held at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 9:15 AM. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Sylvester R.C. Church, 68 Ohio Ave, Medford, NY 11763, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM. An interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY.
