Helen Maxwell (nee Schomber), age 96, of Holtsville passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Helen was born December 19, 1927 in New York to the adoring parents, the Late Henry and Anna Schomber. Beloved Wife of the Late George William Maxwell, Sr. Loving Mother of Pat Devery, William (Sharon) Maxwell and the Late George William Maxwell, Jr. Cherished Grandmother of Brian Devery, Denise Volka and George Maxwell. Dear Great Grandmother of Jonathan Champion, Amber Volka, Sara Volka, Michael Volka, Joshua Devery and Addison Devery.
Visiting hours will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 2:00 - 6:00PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
A graveside service and burial will be held in Waverly Cemetery, Holtsville on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 12:30 PM.
