Margaret Edith Connelly passed on January 17th, 2025, at the age of 91.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 70 years Edward Connelly and her children Michael (Catherine), Denise (Richard), Linda (Michael), Nancy, and David (Lisa). Forever remembered by her siblings Patricia Dragone, Jaqueline Funk and former wife of Michael, Cheryl. She is also loved and remembered by her grandchildren, Jamie (Keith), Amie, Daniel (Michelle), Brian, Mark, Samantha, Richard, Derek, Luke, Liam, Brenna and Ryan. Margaret also had four great grandchildren who loved her dearly, Dylan, Cameron, Holly and Colton.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents George and Isabel Fritz.

Margaret was born Margaret was born on March 11, 1933, in Brooklyn. She grew up in Medford, NY and attended Bellport high school. She is a lifetime member of the Medford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Margaret was a fun spirited soul who opened herself up to anyone and everyone. One of her main passions was being in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook but was really known for her impressive baking. Margaret created beautiful homemade cakes, pies, and cookies for every gathering and special event. She always had something on hand when her family and friends dropped by her always-open home.

Margaret was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was kind and passionate. Margaret made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed. Until we meet again.

All arrangements have been entrusted to McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, Medford, NY. Margaret’s visitation will be held at the Medford Fire Department, 171 Oregon Ave, Medford, NY 11763 on Monday, January 20th, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, and from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Sylvester RC Church, 68 Ohio Ave, Medford, NY 11763 on Tuesday January 21st at 11:15am with the burial at Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727 immediately after.
