Obituary of Miriam Ivette Newland

Mrs. Miriam Ivette Newland, age 61, of Centereach, NY died Wednesday,October 28, 2015. Mrs. Newland was a veterans Advocate with the VA Hospital in Northport, NY. She was a retired Staff Sergeant with the US Army. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Rosita Ferrer. She is survived by her loving step mother Angelina. Her loving brothers Gerard, Louis, and Dean Ferrer, and loving sisters Suzanne Morell and Melina Ferrer and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Funeral mass will be at St. Sylvester R.C. Church at 9:30 AM on Monday, November 2, 2015. Interment with honors will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY on Monday, November 2, 2015.
