Obituary of Adele Maggio

Adele Maggio, 94 passed away on October 1,2016 in Cartersville, GA. Born in Brooklyn NY on September 21, 1922.
She enjoyed many different hobbies throughout her life but one thing was for sure she loved being with her family. A great cook with some favorites like potato and egg pie, macaroni pie, eggplant parmigiana, and soft boiled eggs. She would insist on splitting beers with her late husband Philip Maggio and loved her Coors Light's and later in life found comfort in moonshine and good old Irish whiskey Jameson. She enjoyed reading, she could read an entire book in one day.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire Brooke's and son, Tom Maggio. She is the proud grandmother to Rosemarie Juzwick, Michele Massimino, Dawn Meguin, Michelle Bellafatto, Julianne Iorio and Richard Lesiw. She was predeceased by her grandchildren Patrick Lesiw and Philip Bellafatto and her loving daughter Janet Bellafatto. She was the proud great grandmother to 15 beautiful children. She always felt blessed to have such a loving large family.
Visitation will be at the McManus-Lorey Funeral home on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at 12:30 PM. Following the service the commital service will be held at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
I lieu of flowers Adele's family would like donations made in her memory to The Long Island State Veterans Home, 100 Patriots Road, Stony Brook, NY.
