Rich and I have been acquainted since kindergarten. I had the pleasure of being all through school with him up to our graduation from Walt Whitman H.S. in 1986. I had the pleasure of having conversed with him recently via private message on Facebook. He was the same kind, humorous soul I have known most of my life. I was so profoundly saddened by his passing. My condolences to his family and friends as well as prayers of love and light to all that mourn his passing. Rich, buddy, your wit and kindness will be sorely missed... Rest in peace.

I’m deeply upset to hear about Rich’s passing. I have so many fond memories of our childhood...ranging from running around the neighborhood, religion car pool, Beverly Hill, Memorial, Whitman and most recently at our HS Reunion. It was so nice reconnecting at the reunion where we laughed and even cried together. I sincerely hope you are at peace Rich and am sending lots of love and prayers to your family during this difficult time.

Rich and I became friends in the 11th grade, and we've been close ever since. Some of my fondest memories growing up are with Rich. He was one of my closest friends. He told me I was his best friend, but I think he was a better friend to me, than I was to him. He walked my mom down the aisle at my wedding in 1994, and then he drove hundreds of miles to attend my mom's funeral in 2010. In 1991, at a bar called Christopher's in Huntington, we made a pact to marry each other if we were still single when we were 40! Oh brother! My husband, Frank, learned to love Rich too. I'll miss Rich dearly, his friendship, and all of his antics. I thank God for the cherished memories, and I know without a doubt, Rich is in heaven now and found his peace.

Rest in peace, Rich. We always had some good laughs, usually at Andrea's expense. We'll miss you.

I lived in Huntington until I was 14 before moving out of state. The Whitman class of '86 would have been my class, and I know and remember lots of my childhood classmates from Birchwood and Memorial who I would have continued on with. I vividly remember Richard for many reasons, and in many ways. He lived across the street from my childhood best friend on Todd Court, and we all attended Memorial. I always thought he was handsome, funny, witty, and always smiling, smirking, making people laugh. I follow the Whitman Class of '86 FaceBook alumni page and was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to all his family and friends, and may he rest in eternal peace.

I’m so sorry to hear about Richard. We lived close by on Todd Ct and I have a lot of memories of him. He was a part of my childhood. I had lost touch with Rich after moving away from Long Island. I’m sad to know that he suffered with health problems. My condolences to his family and friends.

Our hearts go out to your family during this tragic time.
I cannot express how sorry I am to have lost my friend, Rich. He was always the light of the party. We called him Mr Big Man on Campus. He made us laugh. He was always there when you needed him. We had so much fun, my friend. Now you are at peace. God bless you and may your soul be at rest. We love you and will miss you terribly. Love Kristen and Rob

Such a sad day to hear about Richards passing. I've known Richard since we went to Beverly Hills Elementary School. Always a smile on his face. I remember going to a birthday party at Richards house. My dad had tickets to the Mets game that night. So I went to Richards Birthday party and Richard came to the Mets game with us. Good times. I was so happy to see Richard at our 30th High School Reunion. Rest in peace, my friend. I remember he had two sisters. I can't remember their names but they were older than us and very sweet. I'm thoughts and prayers are with all of Richards Family and friends at this time.
