Janet Kenna posted a condolence

I remember several special times that Jim and I had with Donald when we were first starting out as a couple. He welcomed me into the family with an engagement party at his house. I remember Donalds domestic side. He loved the house he bought and loved working to make it a home. Jim and I moved to Virginia after we married and had 3 little girls. Those girls loved their Uncle Donald. Now of course Uncle Donald acted as if he disliked children. My girls saw through that though. They knew the big heart he actually had. He came to visit us in Virginia and our girls enjoyed having him there. Donald was a proud Veteran. He went through a great deal in the Vietnam war The memories were hard for Donald but yet he was proud that he served. It did change his life forever though. Donald and I had many conversations after Mom passed away. The one thing I do know is Donald loved his family. He just did not always know how to show it. I wish I had a picture to share with you....but if you know Donald you know he would not let anyone take his picture. I hope you finally get to rest in peace Donald.
Love Janet
Sorry I could not be there to say good bye

To Uncle Donalds family and friends. My heartfelt sympathies go to you. Know he is now resting in Peae with all the rest of his family and friends that have gone before him
