Obituary of Cornelius J. Considine

Cornelius “Neil” J. Considine, age 78, of Farmingville, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24^th, 2019. Neil was born May 21^st, 1941 in the Bronx, NY.

Neil was a devoted family man and a successful State Farm agent, first in Whitestone, NY and later in Centereach and Lake Grove, NY. Neil represented State Farm for over 50 years. He always engaged his clients with witty anecdotes about his youth or current events. Everyone who met him always came away with a smile and story to pass on to future generations.

He was an avid traveler who also enjoyed boating, camping and was always surrounded by family, friends and colleagues. He was also passionate about many causes and charities, to which he generously contributed throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Cornelius J Considine, his sister, Catherine Golluscio and his brother, Thomas Considine.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen, mother Alice Considine, his brother, Timothy Considine, his sister, Sr. Patricia Considine, son CJ Considine, daughter Pat McDonald, daughter Cathy Kaczmar and son, James Considine. He will also be missed by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 1 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Monday, December 2 at St. Sylvester R.C. Church, 68 Ohio Avenue, Medford, NY with Rev. Dennis Suglia officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram on Monday, December 2 at 11:30 am.
