Obituary of Audrey DeGuido

Audrey Anne DeGuido passed away on April 14, 2020 at 3:16 a.m. at the age of 80. She was welcomed to heaven by her husband, Robert DeGuido and son, Andrew DeGuido. She is also preceded by her fifteen siblings, her mother Harriet Ruth Malloy and father Frank Leo McPeck. The youngest of sixteen children, Audrey was born on September 30, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY and was a "New Yorker" through and through. She began her career as a Rockette at the impressive age of 15. Despite her incredible skills, her height kept her from continuing her dancing career. Audrey was proud to begin her career at Equitable Life Insurance Company at the age of 16. She married on July 4, 1958 and renewed her vows to her husband on September 17, 1994, a day before his passing. Audrey was 80 years young and was proud to say she was "not your typical 80 year old." She was sassy and feisty, and was known to be quick with a joke and for her contagious laughter. Her beautiful smile truly brought light to those around her. Audrey's loving nature, ability to listen, and great advice truly made the world a better place. Audrey is survived by many who loved her dearly. Those included are her devoted son Drew DeGuido and daughter-in-law Diana, her loving daughter Laurie DeGuido and "better half" John, as well as her grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor. Audrey is also survived be her caring niece Lisa Aluetta, best friend Carolyn Girad, and her dog "Bubbah". During this difficult time services and burial will remain private, however, a memorial will be held at a later date. The family is grateful to everyone for their expressions of sympathy and love.
