Obituary of Angelo Michael Baranello

Angelo M. Baranello, Sr., 83, of Medford, on December 10, 2011. Cherished father of Lisa Baranello and the late Angelo, Jr. Beloved brother of Letizia DeVeau and Emily Germano. Pre-Deceased by his siblings Dominic, Agnes Perry and Donato Baranello. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Angelo was a 1945 graduate of Bellport H.S. where he was a varsity athlete. He served in the US Army in the Philippines during WWII. An accomplished gardener, stone mason and avid animal lover, Angelo was a member of the Brookhaven Democratic Committee. He served 17 years at the Suffolk County Board of Elections as a Chief Voting Machine Technician. Visiting hours Wednesday 7 – 9 PM and Thursday 3 - 8 PM at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford. Funeral Friday 8:45 AM from the funeral home. Funeral mass 9:30 AM at St. Sylvester R.C. Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
