Obituary of Edmund Hirschfeld

Please share a memory of Edmund to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edmund Hirschfeld, Jr., age 83, of Middle Island. ON May 29th we lost a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, uncle and friend. Edmund loved his accordion, flying his model panes and being with his friends and family most. He always had a smile no matter how bad he felt. Always there to help you out. He gave the best advice, great hugs and kisses too! He would always say, when asked how he felt, "Tip Top" would always be the answer! Edmund had polio as a child, which never held him back from anything life had to offer him. He moved from Ridgewood, Queens, newly married, where he bought a house on Long Island that he adored and raised two daughters along with his wife Barbara of 62 years. (His girls as he would always say!) Everyone loved being around him. He just loved life. He will be deeply missed by all and remembered by many. Keep flying high in the clouds, Ed! We love you! Ed is survived by his wife Barbara; two daughters, Debra and her fiancé Joseph, Barbra Prestin and her husband Ronald; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Kyle; one sister, Elise Agrillo. Arrangements entrust to McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford, NY. Services and cremation are private.
