Obituary of Stephen Brendan Smith

Stephen Brendan Smith, age 77, of Medford died Monday, June 1, 2020. Mr. Smith was born December 8, 1942 in Birmingham, England. He is the son of the late Francis and the late Ellen (McMorrow) Smith. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1961 to 1966. Stephen is a 34 year life member of the Medford Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife: Kathryn A. (Rutherford) Smith three sons: Stephen Smith, Kevin Smith and Brian Smith; his two daughters-in-law, Patty Smith and Christine Smith; He also has three grandchildren Brendan, Jamie and Aydan Smith.
Stephen will lie in state on Engine #2 outside the Medford Fire Department on Sunday June 7, 2020 at 12 noon when a final alarm service will take place. Visitors may attend, maintaining social distancing guidelines and executive orders remain in place. Visitation will be for approximately one hour.
A private burial will take place in Calverton National Cemetery on Monday, June 8, 2020.
