This is Todd Tripp. I served with William in the Marine Corps and he was a wonderful friend. I can remember him being a fan of the Bills. Tonight during the wild card game I thought of William and asked my wife to see if she could find William on social media. Sadly, we learned of his passing. I really enjoyed watching the video that was posted. Our condolences to the family.

To the family of Bill Dowler,
Only upon receiving a letter this past weekend from the accounting firm who took over Bill's clients did I learn of Bill's passing.
Needless to say, I was shocked and saddened. I saw Bill this past March 4 when he prepared my taxes and other than having back problems, he seemed fine... the same sense of humor, always upbeat with a smile and a laugh, so proud of his sons.
My sincere condolences to all. I know he will be missed.

Bill was our candidate for Huntington Town Supervisor. While we were not successful at the ballot box we did win in getting to know and befriend a true gentleman.
Bill had an infectious smile and a kind word for all.
A man with a big heart and a true love and kindness for all especially for those individuals with disabilities.
Which in reality means that Bill was a WINNER in life.
He will be missed.

When I suddenly needed a cardiac double bypass in 2014, Bill took over the job of head coach for the Special Olympics Tennis Program at Bethpage Park Tennis Center that I had started some 20 years prior. He never missed a beat! In fact he rarely ever missed a practice. In the words of one of his players, our daughter Sabrina: “Bill was a great coach. He will be sorely missed.”
