Mana Mou , We love and miss you so much . Greg , Kathleen and Emma - your son, daughter in law and grand daughter will always remember you and dad, You are in our hearts always. We are so happy you’ve reunited with your best friend George again. My heart cries out to you and was so happy when you recognized me and my girls and spoke to Emma by your bedside. I will never forget the conversations and always remember the laughs we had over the years . We love you so much - Greg , Kathleen and Emma ❤️❤️❤️

How well I remember this day. We had a “grandmother to grandmother” conversation ( the full conversation will never be shared) and I convinced her to show me her beautiful new bedroom that Mark and Maggie had prepared for her in their home. It was also her first time seeing it. We marveled together at how spacious it was and the wonderful craftsmanship of Mark! Mrs. Tsaknakis was a sweet and kind neighbor who I will always remember.

I always enjoyed seeing you at Chloe's Birthday parties...you always gave me a big smile and always had something sweet to say about my Sophia. I also enjoyed watching Maggie dote on you ...such a cute mother daughter relationship. Rest Peacefully Dear Nikki...say Hi to George for us. xoxoxo

I love my Chloe, I love my Chloee Her voice thick and choked with a greek accent sings out from the kitchen, you can hear her papery yet soft hands damp from washing and cutting a pear, strike together in a clap with the beat of her tune. Full of life, full of love. Over my own panting from dancing around and playing in the tv room, I hear the shuffle of her brown beaded slippers down the marble floor in the hallway. She enters, my Yiayia, grandmother in greek, holding a white plate with the soft pink and blue rim, replete with fresh pears from the garden my Papou, grandfather in greek, is currently tending to. From the first draft of my college essay, I’ll love you forever Yiayia, rest peacefully it’s well deserved.
