Obituary of Estella Sheila Boles
We are here to honor the loving memory of Estella Sheila Boles (Fiddy). Estella was born to Howard and Estelle Powell on Thursday November 9th, 1950. She departed from this life on Saturday May 14th, 2022, at 9:59pm in the comfort of her home in the loving arms of her husband Garlando and son Marques and in the presence of her sister Alicia and nephew Curtis via facetime.
Estella received her formal education in the NYC school system. She was employed by Western Intl hotels for a period of 8 years. She then went to work for 3 agencies of the federal government; The Dept. of Energy, Dept. of Defense and U.S. EPA for a period of 35 years until her retirement.
Estella was a loving wife to Garlando for 50 years. They were married on Saturday September 2nd, 1972, and out of that union they welcomed their son Marques Howard Antonio Boles. Estella was a kind, loving, good hearted lady who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baked the best rum cakes and lasagna. She always had silly jokes to make people laugh.
Estella will be lovingly missed by all her friends and especially her family.
Estella leaves behind to mourn her cherished memory: her devoted Husband Garlando, her loving Son Marques, her Sister Alicia; Brothers-in-law Antonio Boles and Kenneth Jones; Sisters-in-law Joy Powell and Vicki Johnson; Granddaughter London Jacqueline; Nieces Dawn, Shannon, Taja, Dana, Danielle, Brittany, Bria, Desirae, Olivia, and Madison; Nephews Greg, Curtis, Darien, Curtis Jr., and David; Daughter-in-law to be Coleen. Estella’s Brothers who proceeded her in death Gregory and Rudolph Powell. Extended Cousin Alwin. She also leaves a host of Cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Fiddy leaves us with lifelong memories and lessons. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, and Aunty. Fiddy’s memory will be with us forever. We know you are with our other angels and will be looking down on us. May God grant you eternal peace. Rest in peace Mommy. Love your devoted family.
