When we think of Ethna we remember clam bakes, family gatherings, and visits to Long Island. In later years, she sent us a delicious strudel for Christmas which became part of our holiday celebration. Ethna was an amazing independent person. She will be missed. Jim and Carol

My aunt Ethna was such an amazing woman, a true trail blazer. I was in awe of her so much so I chose "Ethna " as my Confirmation name. She passed on her love of gardening and antiques to me. She always called me, "Mame". I have very fond memories of venturing out to Long Island to spend quality time with her. I especially remember when we chose the liner for her pool: Mountain Lake. We spent hours at Anne's scouring the linens and other treasures she had to offer. She sure loved her Yankees and cocktail hour. She was classy, smart, and accomplished. I truly believe there's nothing she couldn't do. Rest in peace, my sweet aunt. You will also live in my heart.

My beloved aunt Ethna, When I was 12 years old, you came to at our new house in Marlboro. You were sitting in a chair on the deck of the new pool. You had a cigar in one hand and a martini in The other. Told me you love me dearly but I was blocking her sun. The annual clam bake was always a favorite. I know your favorite movies I watch them with you, THE TEN COMMENTS, THE AFRICAN QUEEN. ALWAYS A CLASSY LADY. Love you your nephew PETER

May Aunt Ethna rest in peace along with her loved ones. She was a really cool Aunt and a classy lady. We have many fond memories of parties at her house. She was a wonderful host and made us all feel welcome. She adored her family and we adored her. Sending love to the family as we grieve this loss.
