Sadly, I just heard of Bob’s passing away. My prayers go out to his family and all those who loved him. He was such a character who treasured and loved all of his friends. My brothers and I clammed with him on the Great South Bay, played softball together, went to Shea Stadium and would go out for a libation or two back in the day. He was a very good man and he will be missed. Godspeed, dear friend. Dennis Lynch

Bob was my friend down here in North Carolina. Met him in McDonald’s he was one of a kind for sure everyone loved talking to him. We helped each other work around each other’s house he was a hard worker I couldn’t keep up with him. I am so sorry he has passed away. I always looked forward to seeing him when he came down to NC Dave Ray

Bob and I developed a nice friendship at Seton Hall High School when we were both dating the McNally sisters. We caught up with each other about 15 years ago at a reunion, and have stayed in touch, I loved Bob's energy and upbeat approach to life, and will miss our lively conversations. Bob embraced life to the fullest! He welcomed me into the family many years ago and was always kind and supportive. He was a wonderful story teller and often spoke about spreading joy. Bob could always make you laugh! He was a soulful, caring and happy person. We often spoke of angels and now he is one. When a Cardinal appears, an angel is near and I will think of you! Rest in Peace

Bob gave us many wonderful family memories. Family reunions at his house, camping with family when we were young and years later for my parents anniversary. He was in charge of tinsel at Christmas. He would hang each piece separately. I will miss him dearly.
